I agree with literally everything on that list, but with #8, I already have a ton of stuff to do as an admin (as least in my opinion). I like how you mentioned sourcing on there, we must really crack down on that.

I didn't mean all of the admins, though many admins idle in chat only or edit once a week. I'm planning to give tasks to us admins. Like, POTM will be handled by that particular admin and rollbacks activity handled by that admin and so on. Though, other admins many join in and help out in that particular task too. For sourcing, it is a major problem actually.

Sounds like a much more organized plan. I like it.

lus, we need a new admin good at management, NOT editing like all of us. I have been admin since 2011 and met many good admins. The perfect one for it is Awesome335, he is good at leading us properly. Penguin-Pal, no offence, but you are good at leading and editing, though when it comes to management me and you suck XP. I will probably nominate him again.

I do suck i know right (yao)

An organised system to improve our wiki (and hopefully our WAM score) I am all for it. Can I be back full time, though before we start?

I agree with everything on that list and I think we should do it

I agree with most of these things, though i have a few notes about it. The first one, about the bots, bots are already only given to trustable users (well not their main accoutns but you know what i mean :P). Some of these listed limitations, especially demoting a bot after a given task, seems very inefficient to me; it will require constant enforcing, and will just create more bureaucracy and endless promotions/demotions- these are trustable users, after all, and i don't see a reason to make life hard for them, as well as for bureaucrats, who are the ones that promote bots. Even if admins are given an option to promote bots, this would not resolve the bureaucracy in the process of running a bot. Many of the bot tasks are small, after all. The other note, about the unblocks, even today whenever a user is unblocked, a summary is given, and it is made after a discussion between the admins, unless it turns out that there was actually no reason to block that particular user, which is very unlikely, and a summary is also given to clarify it. I think it's an unneeded point for future changes.

Btw, i think it would be better if all pastebin content is posted here, as it's easy to search :P Here's an old one from 2010. And here's one that directs you to an old blog from 2006 that mentions downtime of CP.

Bt2 #2, i think that rather than linking to the cpwn, we should host a local editable swf tutorial library that everyone can contribute to. My original intention of the cpw05box wiki's swf tricks was to eventually import them to the cpw. I think it could encourage further contributions and make more people want to explore swf files by cp and swf files in general.

If you want, we can mix my guide and yours, then move it to CPWikia. Regarding your point of bots, I agree now about temporary bots, then I agree with you XP. But, we will make some restrictions. About the new admins, do you think we should start votes?

Avatar-Dps04.png

Basically, I agree with most of the points listed. However, I think we have to clarify the wordings used in some of the points. In #4, it says that under special reasons admins are allowed unblock a user after blocked, but what are those "special reasons" referring to? Same for #6, what does "high sensitive situations" means :P. Also, I don't suggest making any more links to the CPWN - as wikia admins, we have no obligation and we shouldn't promote their wiki for them. Besides that, I wholly support the reforms

Everything on the list looks good to me. I especially like the idea of assigning tasks to users. It definitely sounds more organized than what we have now and divides up the work so that no user is being overwhelmed. I also like Penguin-Pal's idea of having an SWF guide on our wiki that our users can contribute to. As for the Pastebin post, make sure to set the paste exposure to "unlisted" rather than "public" next time so that only users with access to the link can view it. :)

Attention: Hi everyone, with the help of Dps we managed to brainstorm, some ideas for the 'admin duties'. Here is what we got images, formatting, media, voting, disputed, logging, social media, and promotions and demotions. Thoughts?
